Construction Estimator

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to provide accurate cost estimates for diverse construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project requirements to develop comprehensive cost estimates for residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects. You'll work with contractors, architects, and project managers to ensure competitive and accurate bidding.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project documents to determine scope of work
• Perform detailed material takeoffs and quantity calculations
• Research and obtain current pricing for materials, labor, and equipment
• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates and bid proposals
• Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
• Review and analyze historical project data to improve estimation accuracy
• Present estimates and recommendations to clients and project stakeholders
• Maintain databases of costs, pricing trends, and vendor information

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional construction estimation experience
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and specifications
• Proficiency in estimation software (Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar)
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
• Experience with residential, commercial, or industrial construction projects
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills for client and vendor interactions
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
